Christopher (Chris) Flay Moss, 56, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 3, 1967, in Mecklenburg County. Chris was the son Kaye Blake and Jimmy Moss, and bonus mom, Jewell of Wilmington, NC. Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Dorothy Manes. Paternal grandparents Dollie Thomas and George Flay Moss, sister Jodi Moss and bonus brother Jay Johnson and sister in law Stephanie Stanton.In addition to his parents Chris is survived by his daughter Keelan Mauney, sister Carrie Whitworth (Steve), bonus sister Jill Lucas (Bob) brothers Charles Stanton and Nick Moss and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Chris was loved dearly and will forever be missed. He had a kind heart and would give you the shirt off his back. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his daughter Keelan. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, watching Nascar, Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panther football, gardening and fishing.
