Archie Andrew Calvert, Jr.

Archie Andrew Calvert, Jr., age 74, of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.  He was born on January 25, 1944 in Gaston County, the son of the late Archie A. Calvert and Grace W. Calvert.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Loyd D. Calvert, Sr., and one sister Sara Frances Conn.  He is survived by one sister, Christine C. Eddleman of Kannapolis; three nieces, and three nephews; as well as his precious dog Jazzman.  A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Holly.  The family will gather for an hour, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mt. Holly for a brief visitation before proceeding to the graveside service.
