Betty Joyce Thompson Otto, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. She was born in Princeton, WV, daughter of the late Edward and Thelma Louise Hudson Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Thompson.
Joyce had a deep love for the Lord and used her musical talents to serve at church and witness to others. She enjoyed singing most with her husband by her side...they were a dynamic duo. Joyce also loved her diamonds, as we all know. But, her biggest treasures on earth were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was so proud of her family and lit up every time she saw them.
She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 63 years, Dale Blair Otto; her precious daughter Cindy Taylor Mattox (Tom); her grandchildren, Tiffany Smith (Charlie), Travis Taylor (Rebekah), Tommy Mattox, Taylor Eager (Jon) and Johnny Mattox; her siblings, Pam Guskie (Bill), Mike Murphy (Marilyn), and Janice Haggerty (Sid); her sister-in-law, Nadine Thompson; and her great-grandchildren, Cadence, McKenzie, Tommy, Chase, Jaylin, Kipton, Hudson and Conleigh.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
