Betty Faye (Jenkins) Shelton

Betty Faye Jenkins Shelton, 77, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her home. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Henry Lathern Jenkins and Luteshia Hawkins Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Leroy Shelton; and her daughter, Pamela Mae Shelton.

Mrs. Shelton is survived by her daughter, Leann S. Abernathy and her husband, Andy; her sisters, Kay Jenkins Keever and her husband, Larry A. Keever and Anne Jenkins Hale and her husband, Benny D. Hale; her brother, H.L. "Butch" Jenkins and his wife, Susie; her grandson, David Lee Abernathy; and great-grandson, Colton Lee Abernathy.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Shelton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Alexis Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
