Cora Mae (Rhom) Davis

Cora Mae Davis of Stanley, NC died May 28, 2018.  Mae worked at Pharr Yarns.  After retiring, she enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, and playing with her grandchildren.  Mae was the beloved wife the late Frank Davis for 65 years.  Mae is survived by her children, Judy Lucas and husband Garry Lucas, Sandra Walker and husband Danny Walker, and Billy Davis and wife Christy Davis; her seven grandchildren, and her nine great-grandchildren.  Mae was preceded in death by her husband Frank Davis; her oldest son, Jimmy Davis, and her parents Claude Truman and Joney Arrowood Rhom of Bakersville.  A memorial service will be held for Mae Davis at First Presbyterian Church in Stanley on Thursday May 31.  Visitation with friends and family will begin at 2 pm and the service will begin at 3 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate.
