Dayna Ayer Chute

 Dayna Ayer Chute, 58, of Charlotte passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2018 with her Husband Joe Chute and best friend Deborah Koven Lodato by her side. She was the wife of Joe Chute for 18 years and she had lived in Stamford CT, Boston MA, Knoxville TN, Key West FL, and Charlotte NC. Dayna was born in Elisabeth, NJ on November 5, 1958, the daughter of the late Richard B. Ayer and Norma D. Ayer.

She graduated from Stamford High School in 1978. She was a stable groom for race and hunter jumper show horses for about 9 years. Then she became a Dental Assistant for another 9 years. Dayna finally went back to her love for animals and opened her own dog grooming business “Doggie Doos by Dayna”. This was a true labor of love for her, because she really loved the dogs.

In addition to the love of her life Joe, Dayna is survived by her Brother Richard Ayer.

Anyone who knew Dayna will remember her love for dogs and horses. She was so full of life and happy spending time with her husband Joe, and their four dogs. In addition, for many years Dayna was a member of AA and through her experience, strength and hope; she was able to help many people along the road of recovery.

Dayna’s Celebration of Life will be held on 7:00 pm, November 5, 2018 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 375 Woodlawn Avenue, Mt. Holly, NC 28120.
