Everette Eugene Lambert

September 15, 1930 ~ December 14, 2017 (age 87) 87 Years Old


On Thursday morning, December 14, Everette Eugene Lambert went home to be with the Lord.  He was born in Gaston County to the late Maude Powell Lambert and Henry Burton Lambert.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Ernestine, three brothers, and four sisters.  Everette served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  He retired as a driver from Talon Zipper after 39 years.  Everette was a member of First Baptist Church in Stanley.  He was also a founding member of Stanley C.D. Rescue Squad.  Those left to cherish his memory include four sons Harold Lambert (Jane) of Mount Holly, Larry Lambert of Gastonia, Mike Lambert (Kathy) of Cary, NC, Bill Lambert (Linda) of Lenoir, NC; a daughter Becky Willis (Chuck) of Bessemer City; four grandchildren Brian Lambert (Anne) of Rock Hill, SC, Phillip Lambert (Holly) of Gastonia, Leah Willis of Bessemer City, and Ellison Lambert of Cary, NC.; great grandchildren Collin, Reese, Heidi and Ellis Lambert.  A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 17 in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mt. Holly.  The family will receive friends beginning at noon for two hours prior to the service also at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Harold and Jane Lambert, 115 Vance Street in Mount Holly.  Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stanley Total Living Center, 514 Old Mount Holly Road, Stanley, NC 28164 for their outstanding and devoted care to Everette.
