Hayne passed away quietly at his home at the age of 60 with family surrounding and loving him. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Hayne Cannon Sr., his mother Mary B. Rhyne Cannon, his sister Cathey Kinzer, his beloved uncle Richard Rhyne; who was a second father to him and his mother in law Bobbie Freeman.

Hayne is survived by his loving companion of over 30 years, Tammy Freeman and their fur babies Che Che and Cha Cha. He is also survived by his beloved aunt Barbara "Maw" Rhyne, which he considered his second mother, brother in law, Peter Kinzer, nephews Andrew (Brianna) and Benton Kinzer. His cousins who were more like brothers to him; Robert Rhyne (Marcia) and James Rhyne (Kimberly), MaryLynne Cloninger (Rusty) and Leigh Ann Cannon Staton (Eric) that he adored as sisters not cousins. He is also survived by his father in law, Frank Freeman and brother in law Michael Freeman (Jim Fredericks) as well as many other cousins and long time friends.

Hayne loved life and telling stories to make you laugh and smile, the "old channel" TCM, Andy Griffith shows, the History Channel, playing golf, cooking, watching football - his beloved Tennessee Volunteers, NC State Wolfpack, LA Rams and Kansas City Chiefs, and loved doing for others but mostly loved his family. He was many things to many people, and each will have a special memory of the man he was. His favorite saying was Love Ya, Mean It and he meant it every time.
