Jo Harkey Obituary

Jo Rita Harkey, 85, of Mount Holly, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Peak Resources in Gastonia. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Albert G. and Lantie Abernathy Harkey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Houston P. Harkey. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Kelly Thomas; two brothers Wayne Harkey and his wife Nancy and Ben Harkey and his wife JoAnne; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.
