Keith Lamar Slamcik

Keith Lamar Slamcik, 56, of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Gaston County and was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Shedd Smith and his maternal grandmother Daisy Poarch.  Keith loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, was a member of Local Union Post 71, and loved his family and friends.  He was a truck driver with DPH Trucking out of Vale, NC.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Tracie Barefoot Slamcik; children Melissa Slamcik and Caleb Wolfe; stepsons David and Robert Gay; sister Tammy English; and grandchildren Emma and John Winters, Logan, Olivia, and Layla Alley, and Dylan Stewart.  A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.  The family will greet guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont.  Online condolences may be left at www.woodlawnfuneral.org.
