Lewis Helton

Charles Lewis Helton, 69, of McAdenville, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at W. G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.  He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Catherine Elizabeth Hamel Helton and John Henry Helton.  Lewis was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and proudly served our country.  Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings Johnny Ray Helton (Shirley), Carolyn Rowland (Danny), and Larry Helton.  A graveside service to celebrate his life with Military Honors will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly prior to the service on Wednesday.
