Macie O'Donoghue Obituary

Macie Allen Conner O'Donoghue, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19, 2018.  She was born in Lincoln County to the late Hessie Caroline Arrowood Conner and George Thomas Conner.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Kim Duncan.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children JoAnn Ingle of Wilmington, Sarah Hicks and husband Coss of Cherokee, Carl Lee O'Donoghue, Jr. and wife Debbie of Gastonia, Sonny Paxton of Stanley, Terry Garrett and husband William of Kings Mountain, Perry O'Donoghue and wife Heather of Gastonia, Sharon Rice of Belmont; a brother Fletcher Conner of Belmont; a sister Addie Sue Martin of Gastonia; 19 grandchildren, including her special caregiver Crystal Hodge; 36 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren.  A service to celebrate her life will be held 12 Noon Friday, February 23 at First Free Will Baptist Church, 402 Hovis Road in Stanley officiated by Pastor Bobby Hildebrand and Rev. Vernon Cope.  Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 9:00 pm Thursday, February 22 also at the church.
