Margaret Grigg Obituary

Margaret Cherry Grigg, 97, of Gastonia, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Robin Johnson House in Dallas.  She was born in Gaston County to the late Frances Cloninger Cherry and Carl Cherry.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Reid Grigg; a daughter Sarah Moore; a great granddaughter Melissa Hyde; son in laws Bill Costner and Johnny Moore; sisters Geneva Sides, Florence Molby, Verdie Robinson, Kathleen Harbin, and Evelyn Davis.  Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Frances G. Costner; grandchildren Barry Costner, Lisa Hyde, Kim Heflin, Jeffrey Moore; great grandchildren Chad Costner, Brent Hyde, Susan Jellum, Stacey Rollins, Joseph Moore; six great-great grandchildren.  A service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 pm Friday, February 2 at Spencer Mountain Baptist Church, 135 Lowell Spencer Mountain Road in Gastonia.  Interment will follow the service at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas.  The family will greet guests for one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home of Frances Costner at 1181 Churchill Drive in Gastonia.
