Marylee Warren Murphy

Marylee Warren Murphy, age 67, of Charlotte, NC died peacefully on Saturday, May 5 at Stanley Total Living Center.  Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Marylee was the daughter of the late Mary Theresa Croteau and John Dawson Warren.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children Patrick, Jean, and Eric; granddaughters Lana, Loni, Halle, and Laila; sisters Conni and Nancy; and brothers Jack, Mark, David, and Thom.

A message from the family:

In the days following our Mother’s passing, many of you have asked for details regarding funeral arrangements and where to send flowers. We would like you to know that our Mom wanted to be cremated and asked us for a few things before she passed.  She wanted others to celebrate her life even after death, and that any tears would be tears of joy!  The following details may perhaps alleviate stress or uncertainty on what to do next or how you can continue to show your love and support for our family. 

In lieu of gifts or flowers, we would like to continue our Mother’s legacy by raising money for Lyme Disease research and awareness.  We believe Mom’s wish would be to find a way to help others with Lyme.  If you would like to help, please visit the GoFundMe site below.

Marylee’s Celebration of Life will be held on three separate occasions to celebrate three very specific requests and key elements of her life:

Saturday May 26th

Woodlawn Funeral Home 375 Woodlawn Ave. Mount Holly NC 28120 (15 min outside of Charlotte NC)

9:30AM-10:15AM Visitation with Family; Viewing of Mom’s Memorial.
10:30AM Memorial Service, with Repass to be held at her home immediately following (less than 5-minute drive @ 9514 Brackenview Court, Charlotte NC, 28214).
Please wear whatever you would like.  However, Cruise/vacation attire is specifically (and sincerely) requested.
