Myrtle Madeline (Burr) Grant

Myrtle Madeline Burr Grant, 92, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2019. She was born in Stanly County, daughter of the late Jack and Alice Johnson Burr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Grant; three brothers; and three sisters.

Mrs. Grant is survived by her children, Nathan Leonard Grant, Mary Alice Helms (Robert) and William Scott Grant; her grandchildren, Tiffany Lynn Thompson (Robert), Robert Helms, Jr. (Bonnie), Shannon Uloth (David), Nathan Grant Helms, Brandon Grant (Krystal) and William Scott Grant, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Kylie King, Meredith Thompson, Trent Thompson, Deven Thompson, Gracie Helms, Keelan Helms, Brayden Laws, Michael Uloth and Grace Uloth; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Grant will be held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice by visiting www.gastonhospice.org.
