Nancy Bruce Domokos, 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. She was born in Cleveland County, daughter of the late Ray and Ruby Francis Bruce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Domokos; and her sister, Brenda Leigh.
She graduated from Shelby High School with the Class of 1968 and attended Wingate College. She was a Branch Office Administrator and new hire mentor for Edward Jones for 15 years before retiring in 2016. Nancy and her husband were loyal supporters of the Mount Holly Community Relief Organization. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mount Holly where she participated in the Women’s Circle and Ladies Bible Study. She was also involved in her neighborhood book club.
She is survived by her niece, Karen Leigh; cousins, Suzanne Puckett, Becky Skidmore, and John Francis; and her four-legged children, Gigi and Louie.
A memorial service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 140 North Main Street, Mount Holly, NC 28120 or to the Mount Holly CRO, 2120 Spring Street, Mount Holly, NC 28120.
