Nellie Mae (Buchanan) Price

Nellie Mae Buchanan Bynum Price, 93, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019. She was born in Jackson County, NC, daughter of the late Gola and Mary Derrick Buchanan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Alvin W. Bynum and Doyle M. Price; her son, Ronnie Steven Bynum; sisters, Zelda Lanham and Velma Bishop; brother, Clyde Buchanan; grandchildren, Stephen Craig Breedlove, Eugene Tyner and Jennifer Bynum.

Mrs. Price is survived by her children, Jean Helton and husband, Calvin, Darrell Bynum and wife, Betsy, Kay Lance and husband, Doug, Larry Bynum and wife, Peggy, and Vickie Breedlove and fiance, John Thompson; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; and special friends, Frances Stines, Debra Lewis, Wanda Mundy, Brenda Conner, and Linda Clevenger.

The family would like to thank the staff of Terrace Ridge for their care and compassion during the time of Mrs. Price's residency. 

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Price will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Cornerstone Family Worship, Mount Holly with Pastor Kevin McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Tuesday at the church.
