Paul Marr Obituary

Paul Calvin Marr, 73, of Belmont, died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Gaston County to the late Joe Calvin Marr and Virginia Hale Marr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Chad Marr, a granddaughter Haley Marr, two sisters Judy and Connie, and a brother Allen. Paul served in the US Marines where he was awarded two Purple Hearts. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years Gail Holbrook Marr; two children Darlye Marr and his wife Jamie and Wendi Peterson and her husband Robert; grandchildren Rachel Peterson and Ethan, Emory, Cameron and Addison Marr; as well as his siblings Jerry, Patti, Roger, and Bobby. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
