Rebecca Sue (Blackburn) Harrold

Rebecca Sue Blackburn Harrold, age 78, of Charlotte, died peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.  Rebecca was born in Wilkes County N.C to Avery Thurman and Nannie Lucille Owens Blackburn on March 11, 1940.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother Ruben Clarence Blackburn and a son Thomas Mark Harrold.  Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Treely Merdie Harrold; her son Johnny Harrold and wife Debra of Mt. Holly, her daughter JoAnn and her husband Bill Bowman of Monroe, and daughter Julie Harrold of Mt. Holly; a brother Ernie Clayton Blackburn of N. Wilkesboro; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  A service to celebrate her life will be held 12 noon Tuesday, May 29 at Calvary Baptist Church, 10301 Harwood Lane in Charlotte.  The family will greet guests for one hour prior to the service beginning at 11 am.  Burial will conclude at Sunset Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm on Tuesday.
