Reginald Allen Hartness

Reginald Allen Hartness, 78 passed away on Friday July 20th at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  Born in Gaston County, son of Janie Hartness and the late Luther Hartness.  He was preceded in death by brothers Micky and Charles Hartness.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Margaret; a son Jeff Hartness and his wife Dawn; his mother Janie Hartness; one grandson Nathan Hartness and his wife Heather; two sisters Blanche Carpenter of Mount Holly and Faye Herman of Gastonia.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Stowe Spinning.  A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m Tuesday July 24 at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends  from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the National MS Society-Greater Carolinas; 3101 Industrial Drive Suite 210 Raleigh, NC 27609.  Online condolence messages can be sent to www.woodlawnfuneral.org.  Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly is serving the Hartness family.
