Roy Lee Rikard, Jr.

Roy Lee Rikard, Jr., 86, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018.  He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Roy Lee and Nina Parks Rikard.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Walls Rikard; and his brother, Bob Rikard.

Mr. Rikard is survived by his children, Sherry Jones and husband, Terry, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Vickie Rikard Clemmer and husband, Bruce, of Mount Holly, Eddie Rikard and Reggie Rikard both of the home; granddaughters, January Rhinehart and husband, Brandon, and Katie Lawrence and husband, Trevor; sisters, Joanne Cox and husband, Randy, and Rebecca Foxx and husband, Leo; a brother, Larry Rikard and wife, Gayla; two great-grandsons, Carter and Wesley Rhinehart; numerous nieces and nephews; and his K-9 companion, Buster.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Rikard will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church. Dr. Randy Cox and Rev. Randy Arrowood will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Gaston County by visiting www.gastonhospice.org. Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly is service the family.
