Thelma Louise (Flowers) Martin

Thelma Flowers Martin, 87, of Mount Holly, went home to be with the Jesus on Monday, December 17, 2018.  She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Walter and Connie Hubbard Flowers.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law Mickey Roper as well as five siblings.  She was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church for 60 years.  Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 66 years, Troy L. Martin; her children Carol Martin Bates (Gary), Mark Martin (Terri), Theresa Martin Jenkins (Timothy), and Rita Martin Roper; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  A service to celebrate her life will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Ridgeview Baptist Church, 105 Pine Road, Mount Holly.  The family will greet guests beginning at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.
