Verlin Mitchell Carver, 57, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born in Cook County, Illinois, son of Barbara Waddell Carver and the late Verlin Carver, Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tammie Hull Carver; four children, Jamie Carver Kirby (Steven) of Lincolnton, Joshua Richard Carver (Shannon) of Kings Mountain, Daniel Jonathan Carver (Lindsey Jo) of Gastonia, and Chassity Spencer (Shannon) also of Gastonia; six grandchildren, Eli Kirby, Ethan Lovelace, Trysten Knight, Allison Spencer, Katie Spencer, and Calista Spencer; seven siblings, Vicki Callicutt (David) of Concord, Alan Carver (Christine) of Elizabethtown, TN, Michael Carver, John Carver, and Aaron Carver (Linda) all of Stanley, Paul Carver of Mount Holly, and William Carver (Tammy) of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of the life of Mr. Carver will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Sandy Ford Free Will Baptist Church, 615 Sandy Ford Road, Mount Holly, with Pastor Vernon Cope officiating. Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly is serving the family.
