Amy Lynn (Rice) Cherry

Amy Lynn Rice Cherry, 47, of Bend, Oregon, passed away Saturday, September 14th at St. Charles Hospital in Bend.

Amy was born in Gastonia, NC, the daughter of John Lewis Rice and Julia Ann Whittington Rice.

Amy was preceded in death by her mother Julia Ann, and is survived by her children Bret, Brittany, Noah and Reagan, as well as her father John and brother Jeff Rice.

Amy was a loving mother, a good friend and a hard worker. She was quick to laugh, slow to anger and loved the people around her. Amy truly had a heart of gold and she will be missed.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10th at 6 p.m. and a service immediately following at 7 p.m. at the First Freewill Baptist Church of Stanley 402 Hovis Rd., Stanley, NC 28164.
