Annette (Handsel) Noles

Annette Handsel Noles passed away peacefully after a battle with dementia on December 1, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Ralph McCall Handsel, Sr. and Alma Ballard Handsel. She was preceded in death by three brothers Terry, Ralph Jr., Willie, and a sister Mary Neil. Annette was very active in the Stanley Community, having worked at the Stanley Rexall Drug Store for many years, she also owned and operated Annie's Gift Station. Many years she coordinated the Stanley Christmas Parade and was a member of the Stanley Beautification Committee. She was also on the 1st committee that organized and started Stanley's Annual Country Fest.

She is survived by her husband Billy Joe Noles, a son Carlton Noles, and a grandson Boyce Austin Noles.
