Ashley Denise Flournoy

Ashley Denise Flournoy, age 35 passed away on Friday May 24, 2024.  She was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of Nikki Bryson and the late Charles E. Flournoy.  In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandfather Jack Bryson, her uncle James Bryson, as well as her cousin Kimberly Bryson.  

Ashley loved life and wanted everyone around her to be as happy as she was.  She loved spending time with her daughter Nova Grace and truly embraced her role as a mother.  She loved dance, Gymastics, and ice skating in her younger years.  

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother Nikki Bryson; her daughter Nova Grace Funk; her fiancé Mike Funk: her siblings: Dalton Hamrick and Jayda Brooks and husband Corey Brooks; nephews Abel Brooks, Lane Brooks and Evan Brooks; her aunts: Melissa MacMann and Amber Moore; her maternal grandmother, Janette Braddy; as well as her cousins: Dashia and Alexis Byrd, and Skylar MacMann, and also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. Burial will be private. The family will greet guests from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Family and friends of Ashley are encouraged to share their memories of Ashley at her service.
