Ashley Erin Scoggins, 34, of Lowell, left this world tragically on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. She was born in Gaston County to Roland Victor Scoggins and Cindy Storie Costner. She will be remembered as being incredibly funny, protective, and a great person to have in your corner and will be terribly missed by all who knew her. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother and stepfather, Cindy and Jason Costner; her father, Roland Scoggins; her children, Bentley Gage Mitchem and Willow Lynn Parson; her sister, Shelby Scoggins; her granny, Nancy Costner; her aunts, Marcella Hovis (Eddie), Betty Smith, Linda Scoggins (Jerry), and Renee Costner; two uncles; and numerous cousins and extended family members. Ashley's little sister, Rolanda Marie Scoggins, her grandmother, Shelby Thompson, her great aunt, Imogene Johnson, and her cousin, Christopher Hovis, all preceded her in death. The family will greet guests from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. A service to celebrate her life, officiated by Rev. James Chambers, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2023, also at the funeral home. Interment will conclude at Bessemer City Cemetery.
