Avis Hood Obituary

Avis Ella Littleton Hood 82 passed away May 24, 2023 at her home in Charlotte, NC. Born December 28, 1940, Mrs. Hood is a native of Oconee County SC. She was the daughter of the late Garvin Mack Littleton and Ruby Smith Littleton of Salem. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Max Junior Littleton.

Mrs. Hood was a cake decorator for many years with Kroger and Bi-Lo in Charlotte, NC before she retired. She was also a seamstress for Grow Industries before moving to Charlotte in 1979.

Mrs. Hood is survived by two daughters; Vicky Warren (Jerry) of Charlotte, NC and Paula Hood of Nashville TN, one grandson, Jared Warren (Heather) of Mount Holly, NC, one sister, Gail Wilson of Walhalla, SC, two brothers, Dwight Littleton (Joan) of Walhalla, SC, Dwayne Littleton (Charlotte) of Greenville, SC, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday May 29, 2023 from 6-8PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly, NC.

The family will receive friends Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 1-2PM at Davenport Funeral Home in West Union SC with service to follow.
