Barbara (Ratchford) Clemmer

Barbara Ratchford Clemmer, 81 of Stanley North Carolina passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel Ratchford; and her niece, Emily Ratchford. Barbara is survived by her husband of 59 years, Albert Rhyne Clemmer; her children, Kurt Lee Clemmer, married to Kelly Jo Clemmer, Todd James Clemmer, married to Shelly Ann Clemmer, and Angela Clemmer Allen, married to Robert Edward Allen Jr.; her twelve grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Barbara was an educator for Gaston County Schools for over twenty years. She was an avid gardener and loved mysteries. She was dedicated to her family and was present at every game, concert, and special event. Barbara loved The Lord and was a strong prayer warrior. She was a founder of Boy Scout Pack 49 in Stanley. Barbara served the Church her whole life, serving in the Student and College ministries, singing in the choir, and teaching Sunday School. Her trust and salvation were in The Lord and her family takes comfort knowing she is in the presence of her Savior.

A service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church, Stanley. Family will then attend a private graveside service. Dr. Danny Penny will officiate.
