Betty Dick Obituary

Betty Jo Hinson Dick has gone to Glory into the precious arms of Jesus.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Grady Ralph Dick; Parents William Floyd and Cora Baker Hinson; Brothers William Glenn, Robert Ervin, and William Floyd (Jr.) Hinson: sisters Gladys Evelyn Hinson and Bessie Mae Taylor.

Betty had 3 children: Diane Dillon, Doris Craig (Cary), and David Dick (Karyn). 5 grandchildren: Michelle Reynolds (Brandon), Melanie Dellinger (Jonathan), Caitlyn Craig, Dawson Dick, and Annabelle Dick.  4 great grandchildren: Skylar Reynolds, Ayden, Chloe, and Tristan Dellinger.

Betty was a member of Goshen Presbyterian Church Belmont, NC where she served faithfully for as long as she could.  She loved working with the children and visiting with the Goshen Ladies, where she made good friends.

Betty loved her phone calls from her nephew Bill and niece Gail.

Betty was blessed with a very happy and full life from her childhood to her last days.  She was content.  She was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ from a young age.  She lived a life that was an example for the rest of us.  She rejoiced in the pleasant times and stood steadfast in her faith though the difficulties of life.

She will be sorely missed but knowing that she is with Jesus and her other believing family members, comforts us.  Betty's life is a testimony for what Jesus has done for her.  She is with Him now and will be for all eternity where there are no more tears, pain, sorrow, death, or sin.

More than anything, Betty wanted others to know how she got to Heaven. It is by faith Alone in Jesus Alone.  Its the ABC's of salvation:

A: Admit that you're a sinner.  Romans 3:23
B: Believe that Jesus paid for your sins on the Cross.  John 3:16
C: Confess that Jesus is Lord and call upon Him to save you.  Romans 12:9-13

The glories of eternal life in Heaven are free; you just have to believe and ask.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m on Saturday July 11, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodlawn funeral home in Mount holly with Pastor Steve McCullough of Goshen Presbyterian Church officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service on Saturday also at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan, Ayden, and Tristan Dellinger, Cary Craig, Brandon Reynolds, and Dawson Dick.

The family would like to recognize the exceptional people at Equity At Home Health and Via Health Partners Hospice.  Their compassionate nursing, professionalism, and caring for our mother with the dignity she deserved, cannot properly expressed.  They were magnificent.
