Betty (Hart) Elmore

Betty Hart Elmore, age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday July 9, 2024 at Novant Health in Huntersville.  She was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Geroge Hart Sr., and Susan Dellinger Hart.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Elmore, as well as her brother George Hart, Jr.

Betty was a devoted wife, homemaker, and mother who loved her family dearly.  She was a longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was a known prayer warrior.  

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Karen Cook, David Elmore (Paula), and Penny Peterson (Mike), her sister Linda Russ;, her grandchildren: Christie Pistolis (Gus), Sherry Whitley, Holly Murray (Damon), David Elmore, Michael Elmore, Adam Lanier, and Adriene (Steven); as well as nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday July 12, 2024 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly with the Rev. Barry Cheek officiating.
