Betty Joan (Weaver) Keeter

Betty Weaver Keeter, age 88, passed away on Monday May 30, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.  She was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Herman and Beulah Yates Weaver.  Mrs. Keeter enjoyed all types of flowers and gardening, and was an avid dancer.  She also loved participating in the Senior Games and was a proud member of the Young at Heart Club in McAdenville.    In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Floyd Thomas Keeter, as well as her three brothers Arthur, Robert, and Bill Weaver.  Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters: Donna Cooper (Tony), Cathy Heilig, and Cindy Keeter; her two sisters: Nancy Hall (William) Wally Spencer (Richard) as well as five grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.  A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday June 3, 2022 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly with Dr. Rick Ivey officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday also at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital:   501 St. Jude PL. Memphis, TN 38105.   Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly.
