Beulah McEntire Obituary

Beulah McEntire, age 92, of Mt. Holly, North Carolina, died Monday morning, February 17.2025 surrounded by her loving family at her Mt. Holly home. Born November 1, 1932, in Ruth, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Manley Ford and Bessie Oillie Kuykendall Ford.

Beulah is preceded in death by her loving husband of 76 years, Eugene McEntire. She is survived by her four loving children; Kathryn and Buddy Horton of Lake Wylie, SC., Janice & Allen Arthur of Ernul, NC, Timothy McEntire of Cleveland, SC, Randy and Rickie McEntire of Charlotte, NC.; seven grandchildren, Trea & Joanna Horton, Denise & Jerry Turner, Woody Arthur, Tim McEntire, Jr & Leslie Oswalt McEntire, Nick & Emily McEntire, Kelly & Matthew McNeil, Curt & Erin McEntire, 11 great  grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Also predeceased daughter-in-law Gayle McEntire.
Beulah went to Ruth School through the ninth grade but told her mother that she would go back and get her high school diploma. After marriage and having four children, she attended Harding High School and earned her diploma as promised to her mother. We were so proud of her and so was her mother.

She was a mother primarily and a wonderful homemaker. She loved her children, and we loved her. She was always there to help us with our schoolwork and any of our projects that we were interested in doing. We will always remember her superb cooking and especially her wonderful coconut cake and German Chocolate cake she made each Christmas.

Beulah got her first job in a school cafeteria at Newell School so she could be home at the same time with her children. She loved people and they loved her. Her next job was working at Stately Lady Pajama factory, which she enjoyed so much but wanted to expand her abilities. So, after receiving her diploma, she applied for and got a position at Lundy Electronics, a computer peripherals company. She became a draftsman and finished her career there until she retired.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Holly where she met and became great friends with members of her Sunday school class. It was an immense joy for her, and she was highly active in helping others in the church and her community. She visited the elderly and the sick while sharing meals and gifts. Beulah is a cancer survivor and believed the Lord blessed her and her family through the years and allowed her to serve Him with true joy. She was so thankful that she lived to see all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren live happy lives.
