Beulah Mae Brewster Scott, 94 of Mount Holly, transitioned to her heavenly home on November 25th, at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 5, 1931 in Vivian, WV. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Bertha Lockhart Brewster.
Beulah worked in various factories in her life. She was a wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend.
She loved being outdoors and looked forward to planting a garden each year. Harvesting, cooking, and canning her vegetables was her favorite hobby. Her children and grandchildren were raised helping in her garden. Beulah was a fabulous cook and all who sat at her table enjoyed the delicious food she prepared. Her grandchildrens favorite was her breakfasts of gravy and biscuits.
She is survived by four daughters (Linda Frazier, Kathy Costner, Deborah Yvonne Scott & Joy Hudson), two daughter-in-laws (Arlene Scott and Sandy Scott) one son (Mikel Scott) and one son-in-law (Robert Hudson); one sister: Sara Ball of Stanley, NC, seven grandchildren: Tammy Ray (Hal) , Shannon Jenkins(Richard), Chad Scott(Christy), Bartley Corzine, Mikel Scott(Cathy)Ashley Scott,Josh Scott. She had a large family with 20 great grandchildren, 28 great great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Everett Scott who died June 4th, 1994, her 2 sons (William Everett Scott, Jr., Virgil Lee Scott), and 2 grandsons(William Everett Scott, III , James Scott Costner)brothers Ezra, Dennis and Everett Brewster, sisters Verna Scott, Luella Cottle, Mary Belle LeGrand and Betty Lester.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, November 28th from
3pm -4pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home Mount Holly, NC for visitation. Other arrangements are private.
