Billy Edward Nicholson

Billy Edward Nicholson, 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Ernest and Blanche Ledford Nicholson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Nicholson Link; and his brothers, Harold Nicholson, Robert Nicholson, and JC Nicholson.

Mr. Nicholson is survived by his daughters, Wendy Nicholson, and Kim Bush and her husband, Tony; his companion, Betty Burgin; his sisters, Carolyn Nicholson and Lillian Nicholson; his brother, Donald Nicholson and his wife, Sandy; his sister-in-law, Ethel Nicholson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Nicholson will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly. Entombment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. Mr. Nicholson will lie in repose from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
