Billy Gail Postell

Billy Gail Postell, 73, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Pate and Reba Cable Postell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 26 years, Bridget Mulhall Postell; and his siblings, James Postell, Doris Galloway, Johnny Postell, Michael Postell, and Novella Whaley. Billy was an avid fisherman whose second home was the carp lake, always 'caught the big one'.

Mr. Postell is survived by his children, Theresa Thrasher (David), Lorraine Hager (Dewayne), and Chief Petty Officer Billy Ray Postell (Beth); his siblings, Wilma Cartee (Larry) and Jeanette Cagle; his grandchildren, Cody Thrasher, Bridget Thrasher, Patrick Brindle, Matthew Brindle, Lorelei Burke, Jaxon Postell, and Emma Postell; numerous nieces and nephews; and many very special friends who know who they are.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Postell will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
