Billy Ray Thomas, 72 of Kings Mountain, North Carolina on July 20th 2020 at Testa Family Hospice House peacefully left this Earth with his wife, Rhonda by his side. Father of Bobbie (Jamie) Lamberth, Carol Rickard (Cowboy), Cynthia Talley, Denise ( Skip) Miller, Dawn Painter, Phiebie ( Jason) Painter, Tim Green, Mark Green and Scott Boylin. Proud grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother of Bob Thomas. An uncle that was more of a father to his nieces and nephews. Bill will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends as a loving father that only gave ice cream to nice people, loved Friday nights because baby had her bluejeans on, enjoyed Snapchat with his Grands, was a Master Mechanic , one who literally fed God's sheep and forever claiming Jesus Jesus! He will forever be in our hearts. This isn't goodbye it's just see you later. And in his words he has gone to love on Jesus! The family will greet guests at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Catawba Heights Baptist Church, 311 Belmont Mt. Holly Road in Belmont. A service to celebrate his life with Pastor Raymond Johns officiating will be held immediately following at Noon. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
