Boyce Louis "Harvey" Moore, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 26, 2021. He was born in Rutherford County, son of the late James Harvey Moore and Alba Neal Moore. Harvey was the unofficial Mayor of Nance Cove. He made daily patrols of his community and kept neighbors informed of the daily comings and goings around their homes. He was a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association and a member of A Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church of Charlotte. Harvey had a love for motorcycles, which led him into 35 years of managerial positions in motorcycle dealerships. He also enjoyed spending time boating and fishing.
Harvey was loved and is survived by his wife of 44 years, Robin Powell Moore; his children, Brian Moore, and Anna Watts and her husband, Jamie; his brother, James Harvey Moore, Jr. and his wife, Lucille; and his grandchildren, River Watts and Lane Moore, who adored him. River and Lane loved to cuddle up and read books with their papa. They gave him gifts of rock, pinecones, and toys which he kept and cherished. He is also survived by two brother-in-laws, Joe Powell and his wife Brenda; and John Powell and his wife Phyllis; two sister-in-laws, Ann Lambert, and Cinda Waller and her husband Brian; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
