Brockman Wilson Cates

Brockman Wilson Cates, 44, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at his home. He was born in Gaston County, son of John Thomas Cates and Vera Crunkleton Cates. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Melton; and his brother, Chad Melton.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cates is survived by his wife; Natasha Bray Cates; his daughter, Aurora Cates; his siblings, Doug Melton, Justin Cates (Julia), and Brent Cates (Wendy); special nephew, Hendrix Cates; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Cates will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Eighth Street Church of God, 906 S 8th St, Bessemer City, NC 28016. Pastor Ronnie Pendleton will officiate. The family will greet guests, at the church, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, at the church.
