Carl Lee O'Donoghue

Carl Lee "Pee Wee" O'Donoghue, age 70, passed away on Saturday December 27, 2025 at his home.  He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Carl O'Donoghue Sr., and Macie Conner O'Donoghue.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Kim Duncan, Sonny Paxton, Perry O'Donoghue, Carolyn O'Donoghue, Teresa O'Donoghue, and his special cousin Bo Conner.  

Carl always found happiness when spending time with his family or fishing on the river.  In his spare time, he loved to take his granddaughters shopping and watch racing and wrestling.  He loved his family with all of his heart and will be missed dearly.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years Debra O'Donoghue, his daughters: Stephanie Martin (Gary), and Jamie O'Donoghue, his siblings: JoAnn Bain (Lloyd) of Wilmington, Janie Hicks of Cherokee, Terry Garrett (William), of Stanley, and Sharon Rice of Belmont., his grandchildren: Chelsea Martin, Tori Martin, Ethan Martin, Jaycee Gentry, and Makayla Gentry, as well as his special friends Dean Morgan, and Eugene Chapman.  

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday January 3, 2026 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service on Saturday also at the Funeral Home.
