Carl Lee Proper, 39, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. He was born in Erie County, PA. He served as a K-9 Officer with the Kings Mountain Police Department.
Officer Proper is survived by his wife, Sonya Proper; his children, Victoria Sherman, Derrik Proper, and Shyanne Proper; his mother, Mona Proper; his father, Bruce Proper, Sr.; his siblings, Bruce Lee Proper, Jr. and his wife, Jessica Proper, Todd Proper and his companion, Anna Trainum, and Josie Willover; his niece, Taylor Rick; his nephews, Devin Proper, Seth Proper, and Austin Smith; his co-worker and close friend, Jonathan Price; many other close friends; and his K-9 partner, Bronco.
A service to celebrate the life of Officer Proper will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
