Carla Reeves Rogers, 61 went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday May 4, 2024 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. She was born in Washington County VA, May 27,1962 and was the daughter of the late Harold Reeves Sr., and Ella Wyatt Reeves. Carla was a 1980 graduate of Johnson County High School in Mountain City, TN and was a clogger with the Shady Mountain Cloggers in her early years. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who would go out of her way to help others at any time. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, and working with flowers. She was a devout Christian and Patriot and was a current member of The Springs Church in Lincolnton. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas where she was known for her beautiful decorating, especially her Christmas tree. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her and Stanley's seven baby angels who have been waiting on her arrival, as well as her grandmother Rachel Wyatt with whom she had a close and special relationship with, Shirley Jean Vance was a mother in law whom she also loved dearly. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 40 years Stanley Rogers; her children: Matthew Rogers (Kristy), and Joshua Rogers; her furbaby Lacey Rogers; her siblings: Brenda Duffy (Ronnie), Harold Reeves Jr., Keith Reeves (Angie), and Amanda Darrah; her grandsons: Jalen Rogers, and Xander Rogers; her nephews: Chris Reeves (Ashley), Jake Reeves, and Jeremy Duffy, Nathaniel Theel (Karen); her nieces: Bailey Reeves (Taylor), Alyse Darrah, Samantha T. Holmes (Stephen); Ernest C. and Ann T. Rogers (her father in law and mother in law), Connie Rogers Theel (Scottie) sister in law, Joel M. Rogers (Cindy) brother in law.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 10, 2024 at The Springs Church in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday also at the Church. Burial will conclude at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
