Carolyn Glenn Payne, was carried away by God's angels into the loving arms of Jesus Christ. She fought a good fight. She kept the Faith. She was a loving and faithful wife, a wonderful mom, a good friend to many.
She is preceded in death by her parents B.H. and Mary Glenn. She was born and raised in Columbia, SC, graduate of Dentsville High School. Keith and Carolyn attended Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia. She worked 10 years as a teacher's assistant at North Belmont Elementary and a few years at Heritage Oaks Retirement Home.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 43 years Keith Payne, daughter Sarah Nobles (Nick), Grandchildren Camden, Bliss; step children Stacy Simpson (Toni), Tracy Sparrow (Chris), and step grandchildren; Her brother Mike (Donna), Chad (Jessica), Paula (Doug), Her brother Phillip (Elaine) Matthew, Melaine (Adam), Michele (James), Her sister Donna (Doug), Claire (Chris) Adeline, Allan, Mary Louise (Vincent), Mila, Luke; Cousins Mary Anne (Peter) Margie (Jay), Jimmie (Melinda); Brother in law David (Carolyn); her sister in law Debbie Payne Lowrance, as well as her father in law Bud.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday October 28, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly with Pastor David Belle Isle officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11: 00 A.M. on Monday also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
