Carolyn Jean (Hice) Stowe

Carolyn Jean Hice Stowe, 81, formerly of Cramerton, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Bess Hice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary Brent Hice, Glynis Foxworthy, and Clarence Groves.

Ms. Stowe is survived by her daughter, Tina Barrett and her husband, Sid; her son, Scott Michael and his wife, Robin; her sisters, Miriam Lay and her husband, Roger, and Gaynelle Ratchford and her husband, Sam; her brother, Bobby Hice and his wife, Becky; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ms. Stowe will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
