Catherine (Carpenter) Kelly

Catherine Carpenter Kelly, 62, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023. She was born in Clarksburg, WV, daughter of the late Arthur Lee Carpenter and Emma Louise Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, James Hardman; her sister-in-law, Donna Carpenter; and her sister, Cora Ann Carpenter Paugh,

Mrs. Kelly is survived by her husband of 7 years, Brian Keith Kelly, Sr., her children, Jesse Longinett (Tana) of Raeford, NC, and Christy Wilson (Cortney) of Lincolnton, NC; her grandchildren, Andrew Longinett, Kevin Longinett, both of Raeford, and Rylie Wilson of Lincolnton; her siblings, Art Butch Carpenter of Winchester, VA, Lacy Daniel (Danny) Carpenter (Patricia) of Lincolnton, Debra Smith (Ronnie) of Clarksburg, WV, Darlene Davis (Brad) and Pamela Hardman, all of Lincolnton, Rebecca Kelly (Daniel) of Butler, PA, and Janet Henson (Gene) of Clover, SC; special great niece, Bella Abernathy; special great-nephew, Alex Abernathy; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as other family members.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kelly will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly, NC. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will greet guests from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 375 Woodlawn Ave., Mount Holly, NC 28120.
