Charles Mitchell Revels, Sr.

Charles Mitchell Revels, Sr., 83, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late James Marshall Revels and Lucy Arnilla Sisk Revels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Charles Mitchell Revels, Jr., Larry Dale Revels; his siblings, Dafphine Pasour, Mildred Nichols, David Revels, and J.T. Revels.

Mr. Revels is survived by his wife of 59½ years, Virginia Walker Revels; his daughter, Tangela Caroline Hovis (Shea); his grandson, Brandon Swanger (Alexis); his great-grandchildren, Carolina Swanger and Zoey Swanger; his siblings, Butch Revels (Roxanne), Pat Harrison (Harold), Kathy Stallings (John), and Shirley Silvers; special niece, Vicky Pasour; a number of other nieces and nephews; and his dog, Dusty.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Revels will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
