Charles Wayne Robertson

Charles Wayne Robertson, 90, of Lee County, SC, passed away at home on Friday, May 16, 2025. Born to the late Samuel and Mary Smith Robertson, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Barbara Robertson; son, Kenneth Wayne Robertson; sister, Mary Rainwater; half-brother, Samuel Robertson; and his beloved dog, Rosie.

Mr. Robertson will be fondly remembered for his preparedness in all aspects of life, from his meticulous yard work to maintaining his car. He was always ready. He treasured family gatherings for holidays and his favorite Sunday dinners. His hobbies included gardening, home improvement projects, and enjoying fried fish dinners. He was a devoted animal lover, consistently providing for their well-being.

He is survived by his children, Cindy Avant (Darrell) and Sherry Estridge (Jim); his grandchildren, Shannon Avant (Tammie), Kelly St John (Wayne), Dereck Estridge, Dana Watson (Brett), and Stephen Estridge (Carrie); his great-grandchildren, Madison Eury Morris (Jessie), Emmory Watson, Savannah Watson, Beau Estridge, and Sawyer Estridge; his great-great-grandchildren, Harper Eury and Waylon Morris; his nephew, Donald Collins; and his niece, Kathy Philemon.

A memorial service will be held at Shady Brook Baptist Church, 2940 Belmeade Dr., Charlotte, NC 28214, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:30 am.
