Charles Leroy Wright

Charles Leroy Wright, 84, of Mount Holly, met Jesus face to face on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Gaston County to the late John Henry Wright and Elizabeth Barker Wright. Those left to cherish his memory incude his wife of 66 years, Shirley Bailey Wright; his daughter Kimberly Wright; his son Scott Wright and his wife Paula; three grandchildren, Cassandra Jones, Jeremy Blanton and his wife Whitney, and Dylan Wright; four great grandchildren, Tyler Duncan, Caleb Duncan, Victoria Duncan, and Brayden Blanton. The family will greet guests from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021 at New Bethel Independent Missionary Baptist Church, 4108 Mountainview Street, Gastonia. A service to celebrate his life will be held immediately following at 3:00, also at the church. Interment will conclude in the church cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
