Connie (Newsom) Carroll

Connie Lynn Carroll, 69, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Floyd Joel Newsom, Sr. and Faye Upright Newsom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Ray Carroll, Sr.; and her siblings, Floyd Joel Newsom, Jr. and Teresa Newsom Thomas.

Ms. Carroll is survived by her children, Danny Ray Carroll, Jr. (Kimberly), Crystal Carroll Dunn, and Shannon Gail Carroll; her grandchildren, Kaylee, Nick, Noah, Faith, Paige, and Chris; 1 great-grandson; her sister, Cathy Burleson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Ms. Carroll was motivated by her love of her children and grandchildren. She was strong in her renewed Christian faith, that occurred later in life.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte, NC.
