Danny Edward Plemmons, 66, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Frye Hospital in Hickory. He was born on July 29,1957 in Gaston County. He was the son of the late Harry Plemmons and Betty Webb Plemmons. Mr. Plemmons is a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and Entrepreneur. Danny truly lived life to the fullest through many travels to Japan, Europe and Mexico. Danny never met a stranger, he had the ability to talk to anyone and pull you in through humorous words. He definitely could make anyone laugh and was a great cook.
Mr. Plemmons is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Vickie Burns Plemmons; his daughter, Angela Devern (Cid); his grandsons, Preston Phillips and Ethan Devern; his sisters, Diane Reese (David), Debbie Ledford (Mickey), and Donna Losey (Earl); special nephew, Jamie Lamberth; and a number of other nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Plemmons will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Pastor Raymond Johns will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet guests from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
